中国宠物救援成员用车阻挡运狗卡车后受伤 [英国媒体]

Several animal activists were injured - one of them seriously - after their car was rammed by a lorry carrying hundreds of whimpering dogs to a slaughterhouse in China.

The brave pet rescuers parked their vehicle in front of the truck as it drove from Henan province with a pitiful cargo of dogs which are thought to have been snatched from the street.

But the trucker lost his temper and rammed the car injuring four men. A 26-year-old man was 'seriously' injured.

Another group of activists then began filming the horrific conditions on board the lorry which was forced to stop and wait for police to arrive.

The dogs - believed to be a mixtures of strays and household pets which were grabbed for profit - are thought to have been sold to meat traders.

In the heart-breaking video the hundreds of dogs packed into the lorry can be heard mewling in terror.

There is no place for animal abuse/cruelty in this world..there is no excuse or defence for animal abuse/cruelty that gave be submitted..The governments of countries that allow such cruelty bring shame on their own nation..kat.

Why is this being allowed to happen? even the people of China want this terrible cruelty to stop. I signed the petition that was sent to President Xi Jinping and yet nothing has happened!!!!!!!! I pray to god more people join the animal activist groups and find these beautiful dogs a good home. Hopefully the people who had their pets stolen will be given a chance to claim their dog back.

Many of these dogs are people's pets. They are not farmed they are stolen. So no it's nothing like cows and chickens etc.

They don't live in safety a lot of these dogs belong to someone as they get stolen from their homes. Read about this so called 'festival' and you will find out outrageous facts. One little boy actually spotted his beloved pet dog after he was killed waiting to be cooked. The poor child had to be removed from the scene as it was too terrifying to watch.

The culture of eating dogs may die away some day when more activists try to engage in "save animals" campaign. The law should do away with allowing slaughtering dogs. I really don't like slaughtering even it's a pig.
