Identical Chinese twin sisters separated shortly after birth spent some quality time together in New York City Wednesday after being reunited for the first time.

Gracie Rainsberry and Audrey Doering explored Times Square and ate pancakes together on their way out of 'Good Morning America' where they gave each other a long-awaited hug in the morning.

The two 10-year-old girls were adopted as babies by two different American families. Gracie lives in Richland Washington while Audrey grew up almost 1500 miles away in Wausau Wisconsin.   Their relatives didn't know their daughters each had a sibling until December when Audrey's mother found a photo of the sisters together as babies.

The two sisters didn't know they had a sibling until December. Audrey's mother Jennifer Doering  found a photo of both of them together as babies posing with their Chinese foster mother. 

直到12月份这对姐妹都不知道她们是双胞胎。Audrey的妈妈Jennifer Doering找到了一张她们在婴儿时期同中国养母的合影。

Audrey had asked for a sister for Christmas this year but Jennifer had a different idea: she wanted to give her daughter a copy of her 'finding ad' which is a photo that gets published in Chinese newspapers when a baby is placed in an orphanage. 

Audrey今年向圣诞老人许愿想要一个妹妹，但是Jennifer有个不同的主意: 她想给她的女儿一份自己的"招领广告"。当一个婴儿被送往孤儿院，中国的报纸就会刊登有照片的招领广告。

Jennifer tracked down a copy of the ad and was shocked to find out it was a picture of not just one but two babies.

Audrey and Gracie both appear next to each other on the photo balanced on the knees of their Chinese foster mom.

how terrible that the orphanage separated identical twins- we have two sets in our family and they really do share a special bond. one (my daughter) has a twin that passed away at birth. she was a sad baby and from a very early age (before we even told her about her sister) said she felt like something was missing- at 19 she still feels it. on the positive side i am glad these twins will at least be in each others lives now :)

A couple of years ago I saw a doc film of Chinese sisters one in Finland or Norway the other in the U.S. So cute when they finally met. It's great the parents have the means that enable them to unite.
