This is the gory moment Chinese zookeepers push a live donkey into the jaws of three hungry tigers.

The terrified animal can be seen clinging on for dear life as workers in raincoats push it down a ramp and off a steep ledge into a tiger compound.

Ok that's extraordinarily cruel. Half an hour to be mauled to death is a very long time. Why can't they feed them hunks of dead animal not a live one. Cruel for cruelty sake is just evil.

I was once shown round Beijing zoo by a zoologist who showed me how all the animals were depressed or stressed. It was v sad. They thought birds and reptiles are of a higher intelligence than gorillas which is not the case but it meant the birds have amazing habitats and when I was there gorillas were sat in a tiled cell staring at people walking passed. Two years before my visit a punter had fed a bear acid by pouring it down the side of the bear pit. Horrendous!

I get it.. I do they have to eat but the way the zookeepers went about I was so cruel. I mean if they're gonna go through the spectacle of feeding the Tigers live meat make them hunt it. But to toss the poor donkey in there like that with no escape what's the point?? There's isn't any.
