man in China has been caught brutally beating his bed-ridden father in a ward.  

一个中国男人被拍到在病房里暴打他卧床不起的父亲。

Footage shows the cruel son violently slapping his father on the chest while shouting at him loudly in a hospital in Beijing. 

镜头记录了这个残忍的儿子在北京的一家医院里对其父亲不仅大声叫喊还用力地打他父亲的胸口。

It's suggested the son might have got tired of looking after his sick parent. Police are said to have started investigating the matters.

据称发生这种事是儿子可能已经厌倦了照顾其卧病在床的父亲，警察也开始调查事情原委。



The incident recently took place in the Chinese Medicine Hospital in Shunyi district in Beijing according to claims on Chinese video platform Youku.

根据中国优酷视频可知，这件事发生在北京顺义区的中国中医医院。

The son who has not been identified can be seen pulling his father from the bed and asking: 'Are you going to wear?'

视频中可见未透露其身份的该儿子将其父亲从病床上拉起来问：“你穿不穿？！”

The father can be seen receiving an intravenous therapy on his hand.

可以看到其父手上正在进行静脉输液。

The elderly man then lay on the bed again and shook his fists feebly as he tried to resist his son. 

这位老人又躺回了床上，无力地挥舞着他的拳头以抵抗儿子。



The person who filmed the footage did not stop the son from beating his father and remained quiet in the room. 

拍摄该视频的人并没有阻止儿子暴打其父亲的暴行，反而在病房里静静地旁观着。

A spokesperson from the hospital confirmed to Pear Video that the pair were father and son.

该医院某发言人对梨视频说，他们两人是父子。

'It is not the first time the old man has stayed in the hospital. We tried to stop the son from beating his father but it's still happening' the spokesperson said.

发言人说“这位父亲已经不是第一次住院了，我们尽力阻止过儿子暴打其父亲的行为，但没什么用这种事还是会发生。”

The spokesperson declined to reveal more information of the patient due to confidentiality reasons. 

由于保护病人隐私的原因，发言人拒绝透露病人更多信息。

The hospital said it had reported the case to the police.

医院方表明已向警方报告了此事。

I don't necessarily disagree but a) pressures do get to people and b) what do people in the west do - cart their elderly off to old people's homes because they can't be bothered looking after their own.

You can be sure the poor father would have suffered much worse at home if this monster was willing to assault him in a busy hospital.

I think he's just stressed out. Although I don't condone what this son did but it's not easy looking after the elderly especially if they are confused. I've cared for many in the capacity as a person who worked in the medical field.

I get where you are coming from having cared for an elderly close relative with Alzheimer's... but the father also (maybe?)looked after and cared for his infant son when he was being annoying and stubborn and just a menace so
