Construction of the world's longest andhighest glass-bottomed bridge has now been completed in Zhangjiajie, centralChina's Hunan province.

世界上最长最高的玻璃桥在中国张家界完成建设。

Daredevil workers today joined the last setof steel decks linking the 1,230-foot-long skywalk that hangs 984 feet abovethe ground, reports ThePeople's Daily Online.

不怕死的工人今天完成了最后的钢板铺设，人民日报网站报道。



The bridge at Tianmenshan National ForestPark, which cost approximately one year and 26 million Yuan (￡2.6 million) tobuild, beats the walkway above the Grand Canyon in Arizona, which sits at amere 720ft high.

这座桥梁位于天门山森林公园，建造时间接近一年，花费2600万元，在高度上超过了美国科罗拉多大峡谷走道。

Even though construction was finishedtoday, the skywalk - designed by Israeli architect Haim Dotan - will not opento the public until May 2016.

Are you sure it's a bridge? I think it's abrilliantly engineered way to reduce China's population. They leave out themiddle glass panel and when the valley's full they move the bridge!

Even today lots of parents in Hong Kongbelieve they have made the best choice for their kids if they send them to theUK or US for education. Judging from the general quality of the comments here,I tend to think otherwise.
