Chinese Communist Party mouthpiece the Global Times says it's time Australia was taught a lesson.

中国环球时报称是时候教训一下澳洲了。

The newspaper's editorial said it would make sense to cut Australian wine and beef imports to do a better deal with the United States.

社论称是时候削减澳洲牛肉和葡萄酒进口了，然后和美国建立更好的协议。

The editorial comes as China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi blamed Canberra for tensions between the two countries after a meeting with Australia's Minister for Foreign Affairs, Julie Bishop.

中国外交部长在和澳洲外交部长会面后指责堪培拉给两国的关系蒙上了阴影。

Mr Wang said on Tuesday the relationship between Australia and China 'encountered some difficulties', but Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said it was 'good and frank'.

China seems set to achieve an aggressive takeover to become the new major player in the world. Why else would they be extending their military into the pacific, trying to influence politics abroad and buying other countries infrastructure. The governments of the world should call them out for exactly what they are trying to do. Seems apparent but no one wants to offend them. As the Philippines has told the US it will no longer be a colony of the US. The Philippines had a better working relationship now with China unlike Australia who for these past many years has interfered in China Affairs. Bishop has not been to China for two years. Their PM has only been once, while Merkel has been eight times.

why do our politicians make deals where australia becomes the loser? why aren't deals more equal? if they don't let us export there. then we should just cut china out and don't let them import to australia. that's equal.
