The world’s first Pastafarian wedding has been held aboard a pirate ship in New Zealand.

世界上首个飞天面条神教信徒的婚礼在新西兰的一艘海盗船上举行。

Pastafarians belong to the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (CFSM), which the New Zealand government approved to conduct legal marriages in 2015.

飞天面条神教隶属于飞行意大利面怪物教会（CFSM），2015年新西兰政府批准该教教徒婚姻合法。

The church – which was founded to satirise American religious fundamentalism – believes a god made of spaghetti and meatballs is just as likely as other gods. According to its website, its only dogma is “the rejection of dogma”.

British man Toby Ricketts and New Zealander Marianna Fenn have been together for four years.

Akaroa is a lovely spot for this crazy wedding. It was a French settlement when they had eyes on colonising if not all of NZ then the South Island at least. Most of the streets have French names. Sometimes I wish they did colonise the south- think of the lamb dishes they could of created.

All those back slapping NZ please note that we still allow (in law) for Christianity to be taught in schools, it's called religion instruction and 40% of primary schools in NZ set aside 30 minutes a week to indoctrinate your child.
You can opt out with a letter, however most parents either don't know this or have no idea what their children are being "taught". Most assume they are learning about religion, whereas most of the "teachers" are charismatic evangelicals and are teaching kids creationism, that Noah's ark is a fact etc.
The govt is shit scared of banning religion in schools because they covet the religious vote.

While British schools include religious education as a compulsory subject in the curriculum from which neither pupils nor teachers may opt out from. That 30 minutes of religious education in NZ is most often taught by volunteers from the community.
