美国计划向事实上的驻台大使馆驻扎海军陆战队 [联合国媒体]

StateDepartment declines to say whether marines will be stationed in uniform atAmerican Institute in Taiwan, the informal US embassy in Taipei

美国国务院拒绝透露海军陆战队是否将身着制服驻扎在美国驻台机构，即美国驻台北的非正式大使馆。

The UnitedStates has said it will send American security personnel to its de factoembassy in Taiwan when its new premises become operational in September.

美国已经表示，当新的建筑于9月份开始运作时，它将派遣美国安全人员到实际上的驻台大使馆。



But the Marine CorpsTimes reported in July that the request had not been granted.

但海军陆战队时报报导称在七月份请求还未获批准。

The StateDepartment spokesman did not give details, nor say whether marines would bestationed in uniform, saying it does not “discuss specific security mattersconcerning the protection of our facility or personnel”.

美国国务院发言人没用给出任何细节，也没有说海军陆战队是否会身穿制服驻扎，只表示“考虑到我们设施和人员的安全问题，不能讨论安保细节”。



“Whateverarrangements are being made are for the purposes of ensuring the security ofthe AIT compound, not to punish China for its bullying of Taiwan,” she said.

“不论什么样的安排都是为了保障驻台机构建筑群的安全，并非是对于中国欺负台湾一事的制裁，”她说。
