世界首个5G全覆盖车站花落上海虹桥火车站 [联合国媒体]

China Mobile Shanghai and tech giant Huaweijointly announced on Monday that they will start the construction of 5G networkin Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station, one of the country's major railwayterminals.

周一，中国移动上海分公司和科技巨头华为共同宣布，将在上海虹桥火车站开启5G网络的建设，这里是中国的一个重要铁路枢纽。

This cooperation is the global debut ofHuawei's 5G digital indoor system (DIS), making the station the world's firstto build upon a 5G system.

此次合作是华为旗下5G数字室内系统（DIS）的全球首发，这也使得虹桥火车站成为世界上首个基于5G系统建设的车站。

It is expected to realize a deep indoor 5Gcoverage inside the station by the end of 2019 when travelers will be able toenjoy various 5G network-based services like AR/VR games, 4K HD movies orultra-HD video calls with their families.

预计到2019年底，车站内部将实现5G网络的深度覆盖，届时出行者可以享受多种基于5G网络的服务，比如玩AR / VR游戏，观看4K高清电影或者与家人进行超高清视频通话。



If people want to watch a movie online,they can use the super fast 5G WiFi which allows people to download atwo-gigabyte high-definition movie in less than 20 seconds.

如果人们想在线看电影，他们可以使用速度超快的5G WiFi，这样就可以花不到20秒的时间下载一部2GB的高清电影。

This can happen on each smartphone in thecrowded station. The number of passengers can reach 300,000 in a day. The highdensity of people often caused data congestion, making it slow even to load avideo online in the 4G era.

By September, Hongqiao Railway Station willbe fully covered with 5G system. Huawei says the devices tried today are just atip of the iceberg.

"While 4G changes our life, 5G willchange the society, which means using 5G technology to connect with everything,such as robotics, cars, and so on. It will make the world fully digitalized andintelligent," Zhou added.
