China appears to have positioned “significant” weapons systems including anti-aircraft and anti-missile systems on all seven of the artificial islands it has built in the South China Sea despite vowing it had no intention of militarising the archipelago a US thinktank has claimed.

The ruling was more limited than that. It made no determinations on sovereignty per se. The Chinese occupation of certain 'features' in the Spratlys was deemed to fall inside the Phillipines' EEZ. Additionally the status of said features was clarified by determiming that they are not 'islands' and thus only entitled to 12 mile exclusion zones not a 200 Nmi EEZ. It was a pretty limited ruling.

The Chinese lead the world in combatting global warming and tackling climate change. They are heroically reducing their GDP carbon intensity they are holding their per capita emissions to European levels and they are actually reducing their real emissions from 10 billion tons a year to something like 15 billion in 2030.
I could have missed this but thanks to the Guardian I have come to understand how noble and far sighted the Chinese are in this respect and am grateful and impressed. Grateful to the G for explaining it to me and to the Chinese for what they are doing.
But some people are never satisfied. Now they are leading the world in demilitarising the Pacific by building these large peaceful structures which the G posts pictures of here. But this time the G seems to have misunderstood the noble efforts of the Chinese and is portraying this as installing weaponry.
Well its just like the warming so get with the plot Guardian. Just as the Chinese can reduce emissions from 10 billion tons a year to 15 billion so what they are actually doing by installing all this stuff is to demilitarise the Pacific.
Why can you not see this? Oh you will soon don't worry. China double plus good you will get there soon.
