A light railway track has been built to go through a hole in a residential 19-storey building in China.

The city of Chongqing in the south-east of the country has a population of 49 million packed into 31000 square miles causing urban planners to look creatively at solving space issues.

A special railway station was built into the block of houses set into the sixth to eighth floors.

Even though they are living in close quarters to a busy train station any noise has been muffled by special equipment.

To homeowners in the complex the sound of the train is designed to be as disturbing as the noise from a dishwasher.

On my trips to China where ever we went it was crowded and some places packed with people. A sea of bl-ack hair people and the footpaths were sometimes covered with gobs of mucus membrane . They spit on the ground frequently everywhere in China.. and the frequent smog in their cities causes your eyes to water and feel like burning... Its only when you leave the cities and go into the countryside do you see a nicer side of China.

It's already on auto-repeat... same news story and video DM 11 Aug 2014. ; ) There are other examples like the U1 line in Berlin which has gone straight through the middle of an apartment block at Dennewitzstraße since 1926 although they sadly didn't think to build a station under the living room floor of the flat above. : )
