Residents of north-eastern China donned gas masks and locked themselves indoors on Sunday after their homes were enveloped by some of the worst levels of smog on record.

Levels of PM2.5, a tiny airborne particulate linked to cancer and heart disease, soared in Liaoning province as northern China began burning coal to heat homes at the start of the winter.

Yeah, well, this is why multinationals can make such massive profits. By redeploying their manufacturing to countries that don't have environmental regulations, they can save on the costs of cleaning up their pollution, and still sell their products to developing economies.
Globalisation is bad for everyone except the 1%.

There was a recent article telling us China leads the USA on making change.... I guess we can call that BS now. So for all those suckers that actually believe anything China is doing is for climate change then guess what, its is not. Meanwhile Europe is fretting over how much cutbacks are needed to stop climate change....If it is man made, then it won't be stopped with China in its current state.
