Russia's agriculture ministerunwittingly caused Vladimir Putin to break down in laughter with his ideafor pork exports to Indonesia, a Muslim country.

俄罗斯农业部长不经意间使总统普京笑抽，这位农业部在提出一个向印度尼西亚出口猪肉的主意，而后者是一个穆斯林国家。

Video of Mr Putin's giggles quickly went viral: The originaltweet with the footage was retweeted more than a thousand times, local mediacovered the incident and uploads on YouTube got hundreds of thousands of views.

一段普京止不住咯咯笑的视频在网络上传疯了：原始视频片段被转发超过一千次，当地媒体报道了这一事件，并上传到了YouTube上，获得了数十万次的浏览。

Minister Alexander Tkachyov was presenting a dry report at ameeting about agricultural development when he put his foot in his mouth, tothe merriment of Mr Putin and other high-ranking officials. Mr Tkachyov hadbeen arguing that Russia should follow Germany's example and increase porkexports to Asia.   

俄罗斯联邦农业部长特卡乔夫在农业发展例行会议上发表了一段生硬的报告，不料却说错话了，为了讨好普京和其他高官，这位卡乔夫先生争论道，俄罗斯应该跟随德国的脚步，增加对亚洲的猪肉出口。

“Let's say Germany produces 5.5 million tonnes of pork a year, 3million of that is exported. To all countries, and first of all China,Indonesia, part to Japan, Korea and so on,” Mr Tkachyov said.

“德国每年生产550万吨猪肉，其中300万吨用于出口。德国的猪肉出口到世界上各个国家，首先是中国、印度尼西亚、日本部分地区，还有韩国等等”，卡乔夫说。

He continuedtalking about growing pork production in the far east, but had to stop speakingwhen he noticed the president's bemusement.

接着他开始讨论提升远东地区猪肉产量的问题，但当他意识到总统一脸懵逼后，他暂停了发言。

“Indonesia is a Muslim country, they don't eat pork,” Mr Putinsaid, chuckling with deputy prime minister Arkady Dvorkovich.

“印度尼西亚是个穆斯林国家，他们不吃猪肉，”普京完与副总理相视一笑。

“Okay, South Korea,” Mr Tkachyov responded and tried to carry onwith his report despite the titters in the room.

“好吧，是韩国”，卡乔夫回应道，然后他试图忽视屋内的窃笑，继续他的报告，

“What's the difference?” the exasperated agricultural ministersaid a few seconds later as the staid meeting broke down into guffaws. Mr Putinwas laughing so hard he had to cover his face with his hands.

“这有什么分别么？”这位恼火的农业部长在随后几秒说，这个古板的会议随之爆发出阵阵大笑。普京笑抽了，不得不用手捂着脸。

The presidentkeeps a serious demeanor at most official meetings, but he's also known for acutting sense of humour and the occasional salty joke.

大部分官方会议中，总统普京通常都保持一副严肃的态度，但是他也以幽默和偶尔的黄段子而闻名。

At a question-and-answer session in June moderated by Americanjournalist Megyn Kelly, Mr Putin drew laughs from the audience arguing that USallegations of Russian interference in the 2016 election were “some kind ofhysteria”.

在六月份美国记者Megyn Kelly主持的问答会议上，普京对美国指责俄罗斯干涉2016年美国大选回应道，美国存在着“某种程度的歇斯底里”，逗笑了观众。



“Do we need to give you a pill? Does anyonehave a pill?” Mr Putin asked, cracking up Indian prime minister Narendra Modinext to him.

“你需要吃药吗？有人要吃药吗?”普京问道，一旁的印度总理莫迪突然大笑。

As an Indonesian,can I suggest that you  do your research before writing your article?
Indonesia doeshave probably the largest muslim population in terms of a country, butIndonesia is NOT a muslim country. Muslim law is never been in the constitutionand for the sake of our forefathers who fought for Indonesia's independence, itwill never be part of our constitusion.
Indonesia believes however in the One God and acknowledges 6 official religions(Islam, Christian Protestant, Christian Catholic, Budhaism, Hinduism, andConfucianism).
You can verify this with Statistics Indonesia

@MarianaWijayanti Yea right. I travel to Indonesia several times a year and have ahome there in Jakarta. It is the largest Muslim country in the world in termsof population and most restaurants wont go near pork. You paint a picture oftolerance, an attribute that is disappearing very fast. Maybe you could give usan estimate of the amount of pork is imported into Banda Aceh?

As well as theMuslim majority, mainly of Malay ethnicity, there is a Chinese community and onthe island of Bali a Hindu majority. The Chinese will quite happily eat pork -when I was working there the Chinese were the main purveyors of both food andalcohol supplies. My local labour, all Muslim, were quite happy to share a caseof beer with me in the evenings.

印度尼西亚是以穆斯林为主体的，主要是马来人，也有华人群体，在巴厘岛上还有印度人群体。中国人非常乐意吃猪肉的-- 以前我在那边工作的时候，中国人是食品和酒类的主要供应商。当地的劳工，全都是穆斯林，在晚上，他们也会很开心的跟我点喝啤酒。
