Photographs appearing to show one of China’smost famous cities shrouded in a spectacular violet mist went viral onWednesday, as millions of citizens choked on the country’s latest bout of toxicsmog.

The fluorescent purple haze that engulfed Nanjing – reportedly the result of a pollution-tingedsunset – was at one point the second most talked-about topic onWeibo, China’s answer toTwitter.

Well how altruistic of you.
However, I actually buy products made in mycountry (NZ) where possible despite the increased cost. I try to avoid the raceto the bottom of cheapest price for rubbish that we don't actually need.
Disclaimer: yes smart arses, I realise thattheIPad I'm using was made by some martyr in China. Unfortunately this is one ofthe product choices I can't avoid.

Now focus on the fact that Francegenerates around 80% of its electricity from nuclear power.

High tax EU, UKare solely to blame for exporting good businesses abroad.

They're comes a point when, by distributingresponsibility too much, you simply make no one responsible. Yes consumers inthe west will buy cheap Chinese goods. This does not make them responsible forChinese pollution.
