teenage girl in China has given birth to a baby girl on the street in front of her stunned mother who had no clue that her daughter had been pregnant.

中国一名少女在她惊愕的母亲面前于街边产下一名女婴，这位母亲完全不知道她的女儿已经怀孕。

Instead of cuddling her newborn granddaughter the teen's mother tossed the baby away on the pavement claiming her 15-year-old daughter 'was too young to be a mother' and 'we can't keep the baby'.

这位少女的母亲没抱她刚出生的外孙女，而是把婴儿扔在了人行道上，并称她15岁的女儿“太年轻不能当妈妈”，“我们不能留下这个孩子”。

Onlookers were shocked by the grandmother's behaviour as they gathered over to look at the naked baby on a road in Jiaxing Jiangsu Province on Monday.

The newborn girl and the teen mother were later taken to the hospital for treatment by the hospital's security guards. 

新生女婴和这个十几岁的妈妈最后被保安人员带往医院治疗。





The 15-year-old new mother was said to be a student on summer holiday. She was visiting her mother in Taixing a three-hour train ride from Xuzhou in Jiangsu Province where she studies according to Kan Kan News.

这个15岁的新手妈妈据说是一个在度暑假的学生，根据看看新闻的报道，她是去看在泰兴的妈妈，从她学习的地方江苏省徐州市到泰兴要3小时的火车车程。

It's said that the teenager's mother Ms Lin had noticed her daughter bleeding in her privates and thought she could have suffered period pain. Therefore Ms Lin took her daughter to the Taixing People's Hospital.

据说，少女的妈妈林女士注意到女儿私处在流血，认为她女儿是来例假痛经，因此，林女士带她女儿到泰兴人民医院。

However Ms Lin was shocked to see her daughter starting to give birth on the street moments after they got off the bus near the hospital.

然而，林女士惊愕地看到女儿在医院附近下车后开始分娩。

Onlooker Ms Zhang said the girl's mother did not take the baby into the hospital; instead she left it abandoned on the side of the road.

Ms Zhang told Kan Kan News: '(The grandmother) said "no no we can't have the baby" and a lot of passers-by were watching.'

A few hospital security guards were alxed and they reported the incident to the police. They also took the teenage mother and her baby into the hospital for medical treatment.

According to the report the teenage mother still had the placenta inside her womb and underwent emergency surgery to have it removed.

The newborn suffered swelling in the head and was treated by doctors.

这名新生儿头部肿胀，也接受了医生的治疗。

Police arrived at the scene and warned Ms Lin that it is a criminal offence to abandon children especially newborns.

警方赶到现场，警告林女士，遗弃儿童，特别是新生儿，属于刑事犯罪。

Ms Lin said she would make a plan for her daughter and granddaughter when her daughter recovers from the childbirth.

Worst part of this story and pics - the people stopping to take pictures of the baby but not pick it up and help it. Cameras on telephones have ruined our world! It was like when I was watching the royal wedding driving through the streets - just a sea of smart phones! It was very weird to even look at!
