A giant panda in Belgium has proudly shown off her bundle of joy to zoo visitors for the first time.

一只大熊猫在比利时首次自豪地向动物园的游客炫耀她满萝满筐的欢乐。

New mother Hao Hao has until now proven hesitant to share her little baby known only as P with the rest of the world after giving birth back in June.

However visitors to the Pairi Daiza animal park were finally able to meet the adorable tyke after the pair ventured into their new cave.

The healthy male cub was born two months ago following a successful mating programme between six-year-old Hao Hao and her mate Xing Hui.

The pink blind hairless cub weighed just 171 grams (6oz). Hao Hao's 'probable' pregnancy was announced just two weeks before accompanied by caution about detecting the tiny foetus.

I love watching animals haul their kids around by the scruff. They apparently accept it as normal. When we had a small Yorkie he could be a little terror but when I picked him up by the scruff he just hung there like a limp rag.

So if it wasn't for zoo's these animals would be extinct by now or close to it. I bet the anti-zoo idiots have a hard time reconciling that. Poor people so uneducated as to understand without zoos they're wishing all these cute little critters die a slow death from starvation.

Just moved to Belgium and went to this zoo a couple of weeks ago. Fantastic place. Plenty of room for the animals. They are clean and well looked after. Not a great fan of zoos but this one and Singapore zoo are def the best I've seen xx

Yes of course but there is no choice either captivity or simply disappear. Humans unfortunately are annexing every pice of animal habitat so the measures to save and keep some species are necessary.

If only China and its people care about other animals heading towards extinction (that they have an active hand in killing) as much as the panda. Elephants rhinos sharks seahorses turtles pangolins etc etc....
