A school principal in China has been suspended after images emerged of students at his school being forced to take their exams in thick smog.

一名中国校长已经被停职，因为他强迫学生在重雾霾下参加考试。



On December 20, 480 pupils from a middle school in Linzhou, central China, were made to take their tests, reports the People's Daily Online. 

12月20号，中国中部林州一中学的480名学生被迫参加考试，人民网报道。



It was confirmed that Anyang prefecture suspended the principal Feng Jisheng after he went ahead with plans to test the students despite the order to close the school from the county's education authorities. 

安阳教育局早已下发指令要求学校停课，但是该校长依然按原计划安排考试。目前这位校长已经被停职。

Nobody in Europe or North America should feel smug about the smog in China. It's a part of the environmental cost of cheap manufactured imports that the big brands tend not to mention in their advertising. And that goes as much for supposedly 'cleaner' technology, like electric & 'hybrid' vehicles, as it does for anything else.
