MOSCOW: RussianPresident Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the“partnership” between their two nations as they oversaw the signing of energyand other deals on Thursday.

莫斯科：俄罗斯总统普京和印度总理莫迪赞美两国的“伙伴关系”，周四，两国签署了能源和其他方面的协议。

Mr Putin saidhis country planned to build six nuclear power units in India over 20 years.

it's not 6N-power units but 12. Also there is 'kamov-226' helicopter deal which is under'make in India' scheme. Russian president Putin also supported India's UNSCseat claim by saying "deserving and strong candidate that can bring anindependent and responsible approach".

@vic : It wasnot a military plane!. The "Chartered" plane belonged to BSF (BorderSecurity Force), which comes under the Home Ministry rather than the DefenseMinistry!.

@sana It seemsthat you don't know much about India's foreign policy. India's closerelationship with USA doesn't mean that it's anti-Russia. remember, Russia hasalways supported India in UNO and used VETO for India several times. and it's avery big deal because world is diverging from atomic energy due to its severethreats. no country is interested in atomic power plants after Fukushimatragedy in Japan and it'll surely bankrupt Russian nuclear companies. howeverIndia is willing to purchase nuclear units; and that's survival option forRussian nuclear firms.

In the unlikelyevent that India does manage to get a seat in UNSC, which has a remote changebecause of China, Israel will have two "friends" (India and the US)who will veto every legitimate motion against it.
