维珍航空侮辱中国旅客事件:
李维在社交网站上撰文称,3月1日她搭乘维珍航空VS250次由伦敦飞往上海,刚刚登机正弯腰在座位上找耳机时,一名白人男子突然莫名其妙地走向她,用手指着她鼻子恶狠狠地骂她是“中国猪”,让她“滚出去”。
其间,维珍航空的空服人员不但没有加以制止,一名叫Nathan Smith的空少之后过来与这名白人男子小声交谈后,反而大声呵斥李维“不要吵架”,要“尊重其他乘客”,否则就把她赶下“飞机”。
白人男子自称患有精神病,而李维曾在入境时向浦东机场边检站举报该男子精神有问题,有暴力倾向并威胁他人,疑似携带违禁药品,要求边检帮助检查。
然而,边检方面给出的回应却是:“只要外国人有护照和签证,他们就管不了。”
当天在同一航班的吴小姐证实了她亲眼目睹白人男子对李维的恶语相向,也确实听到空乘让李维冷静,不然可能让她下飞机的话,当时情况“挺可怕的”。
她还指出,白人男子“看起来就是一个很凶的普通人”,“不像精神病,感觉像借口”。
事后,维珍航空英国总部、维珍航空上海办事处面对记者采访给出了完全同样的回复:“维珍航空非常重视近期在我们航班上所发生的事件,并正在彻查此事。乘客的安全和健康始终是我们最优先的考虑,我们会继续与该乘客保持畅通的沟通,确保此事能得到妥善解决。”
LinkedIn网站上可以查询到这个Nathan Smith,显示他供职于维珍航空澳洲地区,不过李维看过资料照片后表示,飞机上的空少不是此人,空乘给出的名字可能是假的。
维珍航空官方微博发表了一份“关于16年3月1日VS250航班事件的声明”。
声明中称:“维珍航空对3月1日在VS250航班上所发生的事件表示十分遗憾。我们展开了彻查,联系了与此事相关的乘客们及空乘获取信息后,了解到在当天的航班上,有两位乘客发生了言语争执,并使得双方都感到紧张与不安;我们的空乘人员尽最大的努力为所有涉事乘客调解问题,包括这位投诉的女乘客及她的同行男性友人。我们再次重申,维珍航空绝不容忍任何形式的种族歧视。”

After the insult, the cabin crew told the Chinese woman she would be expelled if she complain anything more about the racist insulting her. This is the reason why we Chinese people need Virgin's apology. Virgin's employee's reaction is shocking and disgusting. He chose to stand on racist' side instead of a young woman travelling alone.

So a man with mental issues argues with someone who argues back and she is told to stop arguing so things calm down and so she stops arguing and things calm down. But she then takes to twitter to complain but not in english - which she claims to speak - but in mandarin, trying to make an issue and she receives an immediate apology and told it is being investigated. Nothing to see here then

First of all, the flight is from London to Shanghai, instead of the other way around. Second, the main reason why we were so angry was not because the cabin crew failed to transfer their seats. While the man was throwing racist words to this Chinese girl, the cabin crew didn’t do anything to stop him. Instead, they asked the girl to stop arguing and threatened to get her out of the plane (before the flight departed).
I have to comment because the missing information makes your article quite misleading.

I was on this flight sitting behind the man who allegedly insulted her and I can tell this is NOT how it went down. I watched the whole thing and while I didn't hear some of their exchange parts of this don't add up to what I witnessed and how the Virgin Atlantic staff behaved.

She wasn't looking for her headphones she was trying to change seats before the flight took off and he told her not to (not a problem in my book as I moved seats shortly after). After an initial exchange they started arguing and it was more of a "did you hear what he said/she said to me" and she was swearing at him too". The airline staff told him that he would be removed from the plane if he continued to make trouble and did try to move him to another cabin but the other cabin was full. They told him that he need to calm down and leave her alone - he was acting aggressively but as soon as the plane took off he slept right through the the flight and never even left his seat which was at least 10 rows behind her. He also said he did have an illness but it wasn't a mental one. I was unable to hear a short exchange they had but she was equally aggressive at and swearing at him and they also told her to calm down because she was being disruptive - they both were. While he was out of order her account doesn't match up - she wasn't looking for her head phones as she was originally sitting at the other end of the cabin and that is not how the exchange started. To be fair when they spoke at one point I couldn't hear what they were saying and but I think the Virgin staff handled it well considering that thy didn't see any of it happen and but they were great for the rest of the flight. He did come across quite agressively in his manner but never looked as if he was going to be violent. It's just his voice was quite deep and he was a large man. And she gave back by yelling and shouting down the cabin. It was his fault arguing over nothing and while I can't confirm he wasn't racist (because I didn't hear everything) the way see is portraying it is comepletely different to how it actually happened - although I have only read this article and not her account so...
太长了,大约就是其实刘小姐和那个男人其实是为了换位子而吵架。他们换完位置后就吵了起来,双方都有说脏话。空乘过来警告那个男人不要再和女士吵架否则赶他下机,而后来他们确实想给男人换位置但没有空位了。那个男人坐在刘小姐十排之后,起飞后他也一直在睡觉,他确实提过自己有病但不是精神病。听不到他们具体的吵架内容,但那位女士表现的一样有攻击性,所以空乘也警告她不要再滋扰乘客。觉得空乘做得挺好的。确实是男子先挑起骂战的,但并不是为了什么种族主义。(译注:只能拭目以待了...)
