US fighter jets have carried out air raids on positions of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in the Libyan city of Sirte for the first time according to the country's unity government.

When the revolution started in Libya and the revolutionaries were fighting with guns against Tanks and Planes the Muslim world complained why isn't the West especially the US helping these poor revolutions.  We helped them with airstrikes and the complaints from the Muslims were we destroyed Libya and somehow we started this war.
Either way we are dammed in the Muslim world as they will blame everything on the US and Israel.  So might as well try to do the right thing and leave it at that.

So Muslim countries were stable before we invaded Afghanistan and Iraq?  So when dictator Saddam ruled Iraq killed hundreds of thousands of his own citizens started the war with Iran because he was afraid that they are instigating his shias and that killed 1 million between the two of them Iraq was stable?  
What century was Afghanistan stable in?
Iraq most of the dead were in the infighting between the Sunnis and the Shia.  Which is exactly what was going on before we went into Iraq.  We were naive expecting that the Iraqis will be happy to get rid of Saddam and love to have democracy.  Many Muslims said we did it to stay as occupiers.  That we were there to steal the oil.  Instead we put in the democracy left and none of the oil contracts went to American companies.  You want anyone to blame then blame the Muslims that can't get along with one another because of a small variance of religion.
