MANILA (Reuters) - President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday called for the withdrawal of U.S. special forces troops from a group of islands in the southern Philippines, saying their presence could complicate offensives against Islamist militants notorious for beheading Westerners.

马尼拉（路透社）——总统杜特尔特周一呼吁美国特种部队撤出菲律宾南部一群岛，称美国特种部队的存在将复杂化针对伊斯兰极端分子的攻势，这些极端分子以砍头西方人而闻名。

Duterte, who was in the spotlight last week over a televised tirade against the United States and President Barack Obama, said the Americans still in Mindanao were high-value targets for the Islamic State-linked Abu Sayyaf militants as counter-insurgency operations intensify.

他说随着反叛乱行动的强化，依然待在棉兰老岛上的美国人成了与伊斯兰国有关系的阿布沙耶夫极端分子的高价值目标。

"They have to go," Duterte said in a speech during an oath-taking ceremony for new officials. "I do not want a rift with America. But they have to go."

He added: "Americans, they will really kill them, they will try to kidnap them to get ransom."

A spokesman for the U.S. State Department, John Kirby, said it was not aware of any official communication by Manila calling for a withdrawal. He said Washington remained committed to the alliance.

Another U.S. official said there were only a "handful" of special forces in the Mindanao acting in limited liaison roles.

Clearly Duterte is anti-American but he is pro-Chinese. He wants the US special forces out and threatens that they will be killed, but he invited the Chinese to build drug rehab centers inside military camps and admire them. I hope the Filipinos can see what their president is up to. He is threatening an old friendship with the USA. Duterte is befriending the communists and is becoming a threat to democracy. He even insulted the leaders of democracy: the US president and the UN secretary general. Then he admired the Chinese who are the suppliers of dangerous drugs in the Philippines. He is deliberately inconsistent or he does know what he is doing.

This is another irresponsible writing of the press, this is hard to believe, they want the Philippines to have a quarrel with Washington. Specially this time we have a quarrel with China. Duterte is not stupid to this things. Filipinos hate China, Duterte is the only one who is making friends with the Chinese.
