Iranian border guards fired three mortar shells into Pakistani territory near the Panjgur border in Balochistan, a member of the local administration told DawnNews. Levies sources said there has been no loss of life as a result of the attack, which was said to be unprovoked.

Iranian forces have violated Pakistani territory with frequency in recent months. Pakistan has repeatedly lodged protests with Iran over border violations.

In May, a man was killed in Panjgur when a mortar shell fired by Iran border guards hit his vehicle. The incident had occurred two weeks after a meeting between Pakistani and Iranian officials to discuss border security.

Pakistan is becoming a basket case of mismanagement and completely dysfunctional security system and border control.
I know of no other country in the world, which has three of its four neighbors so hostile and regularly shell, fire and kill its military, border security or civilians with such regularity. Afghanistan, Iran and India, all shelling Pakistani territory. Add US Drone above, killing scores on the ground, without any proof, accountability, investigation or retribution.
Pakistan as a state is rendered a banana republic and no one in the government is in charge or has the guts to stand up and challenge these threats. A complete joke!

Criticism of government and ministers may be justified in most issues but not about matters which are in their domain, not formulated or decided by them. We all know who really controls matters like foreign policy in Pakistan. Unless people are allowed to question them situation will not change. Now new rules about raising those issues and penalties for criticism.
