Nine armoured military vehicles bound for Singapore have reportedly been seized in Hong Kong.

据报道，九辆开往新加坡的装甲车在香港遭到查封。

Earlier on Thursday (24 November) the South China Morning Post reported that the vehicles were seized by Hong Kong customs along with components and accessories in a routine inspection at the Kwai Chung Container Terminal. The incident took place on Wednesday after 12 containers were unloaded from a vessel arriving from Taiwan.

A statement from Singapore’s Ministry of Defence (Mindef) said that “a shipment of Terrex Infantry Carrier Vehicles (ICVs) and associated equipment with no ammunition used by the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) for overseas training was delayed at Hong Kong’s Kwai Chung Container Terminal due to a request for routine inspections by the Hong Kong Customs authorities”.

“Singapore authorities are providing relevant assistance to the Hong Kong Customs and expect the shipment to return to Singapore expediently” said Mindef adding that the Terrex ICVs were used for routine overseas training and “shipped back via commercial means as with previous exercises”.

新加坡国防部说：“新加坡当局正在提供相关的协助给香港海关并期待这批货物能够方便的返回新加坡”，这批泰莱斯轮式装甲运兵车被用于例行的海外训练，并且使用之前的通过商业海运的方式运回。

Under Hong Kong’s Import and Export Ordinance a licence issued by the director general of trade and industry is required for the import export re-export or transshipment of strategic commodities.

根据香港进出口条令，进出口，再出口，或转运战略物资需要得到工业贸易署署长的许可。

China is hitting back at SG for strangely supporting the fraudulent adhoc tribunal ruling on the SCS and asking China to respect it.
Let us see what this leads to. 
For too long SG has been taking the good will of other countries for granted. 
And even when it was not a claimant SG took sides with US against China in this matter --- when all the 4 big claimants kept their mouths shut.
And the biggest claimant Philippines decided to chuck the fraudulent adhoc tribunal ruling aside and instead make peace and improve investment trade relations with China.
Later on when even the US decides in a Trump presidency to abandon the "pivot to Asia" by Obama then SG is left alone to insist that China respect the fraudulent adhoc tribunal ruling. 
When Malaysia Brunei Vietnam and Philippines walk away from it and want nothing to do with it.
The only other proponent is the original scheming instigator behind it all - Japan. 
Japan cultivated Aquino III and turned him into an ardent anti-China pro-Japan stooge; and made him press ahead to do a unilateral arbitration. 
Both parties must agree before an arbitration is possible. 
Unilateral arbitration is an oxymoron. 
It was a Japanese who personally hand picked 4 out of 5 lawyers to work on the adhoc tribunal.

鉴于新加坡对于南海仲裁法庭的判决支持并要求中国尊重判决结果的奇怪态度，中国正在反击，让我们拭目以待。

More importantly the armd vehicles computerised weapons and comms systems will be studied by others and SAF have to quickly do something to re calibrate the systems. Next can't the SAF Logistics Division have someone to accompany the container cargo ship to ensure the containers of armd vehicles are not unloaded at HK port? Complacency.

Please don't tell Singaporeans that there is no container shipping services from Taiwan to Singapore? For such sensitive military equipment why must ship via HK?
Does any of the "top brain" generals think harder instead of just trying to save a few thousand dollars shipping costs?

Those military vehicles/equipments are insured and the transporting company have to compensate SAF if HK authority seized and dispose the vehicles/equipments. Lesson learnt is that the cheapest contracted transport company may not be the best option. Those SAF logistics experts have to answer also.
